Jeremy Corbyn Arrives at Glastonbury

Far-left Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn arrived at Glastonbury this afternoon to a warm welcome.

Jeremy Corbyn has won over the young voters after fighting a hard campaign to Theresa May. Although he was not appointed Prime Minister he is still considered to be the winner of the General Election as he managed to make the British public regain confidence in the Labour party.

The Conservative Party on the other hand has lost a lot of ground to Corbyn. We'll keep you up to date on everything politics and video games.

The summer sale has finally arrived on Steam and there are plenty of deals for gamers to get their hands on. here's a list of the best deals so far.

Grand Theft Auto V

Although the recent controversy has damaged the games reputation Grand Theft Auto V still stands to be the fastest selling entertainment product to this day as it made $1,000,000,000 in the first three days. It's price currently sits at £19.99 whereas it is usually £39.99.

Valve Complete Pack

Back in the early 2000s Valve was at the height of their life. With Half Life and Counter Strike both being popular IPs it was a great time to be a valve fan but the days of Valve games are numbered (or at least the main franchises) and to celebrate this amazing games Valve is giving you an option to buy all their games in one bundle. While it usually costs £100 it has a massive 91% discount.

Killing Floor 2

Tripwire Interactive released the zed-killing sequel in November and since then it's been praised by critics and fans alike. You can pick it up £9.99 on Steam right now.

E3 2017 Roundup

E3 took place this week and a lot of new games were shown off and announced. Here's a quick look at the highlights:

Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves is an open world pirate adventure. I dismissed it until a few days ago when they showed off a demo of the game and it prompted me to pre order it however the price tag is a bit much for a new IP. Sea of Thieves is coming out in early 2018 for Xbox and Windows 10.

Anthem

What's this? A new sci fi shooter from Bioware? It's been described as The Division meets Mass Effect and to be honest it looks pretty great. Anthem releases in late 2018 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Assassin's Creed Origins

Ubisoft gave out a lot of info for their new AC game. After taking a break for a year on the franchise they return with a new adventure that takes players to Egypt. Assassin's Creed Origins releases on 27th October on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

So that was three games that were shown at E3. Part 2 of this article will drop tomorrow.

Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar gets a Teaser Trailer

The E3 conference weekend kicked off today with EA revealing some new games. Among the new teasers were one for a Battlefield 1 teaser for the new In the Name of the Tsar expansion.

The new expansion lets players fight on the Eastern Front as the women's battalion of death. Alongside this EA have given players more info on games like Fifa 18, Star Wars battlefront 2 and Titanfall 2.

Battleborn goes to free to play

Battleborn went free to play 2 days ago after poor sales since its launch and Randy Pitchford wants to call it a free trial because free to players users get access to multiplayer features only.

Meanwhile existing users have been given benefits in game including a crown and 1000 platinum. Gearbox turned Battleborn free to play in a attempt to make it free play and has brung in near 2,000 concurrent players. 

The fate of Gearbox Studios is unclear as Battleborn barely made any profit and Mikey Neumann, Borderlands writer has left the studio due to illnesses. In the meantime we recommend picking up Battleborn from the Steam store. 

Battleborn gets a 9.7 GB update

Battleborn got a suprise 9.7 GB update an hour ago and fans are already speculating what this patch is bringing.

The main theory, of course is that the game is getting a free to play module. This is the most likely scenario as every Battleborn owner now has a FGU DLC in their steam library hinting at a 'Free Game Upgrade'.

The patch notes have been released and a bunch of new content has been added but it doesn't hint at any free to play features. They are hosting a live stream tomorrow so we'll give you live coverage on the story via twitter.

Weekly Roundup #32

Far Cry 5 controversy, Overwatch adds the officer D.VA skin to normal loot boxes and Need for Speed Payback.

Far Cry 5 has been criticized by multiple people for being controversial. The open world action game has been called a 'white shooting simulator' and some people have even said that it should feature killing Muslims instead of white Americans. Far Cry 5 releases 27th February 2018.

After a painful event for Overwatch fans Blizzard have decided to put the Heroes of the Storm skins into normal loot boxes. The cross-event where Blizzard tried to populate the HotS servers with Overwatch fans with skins in both Overwatch and HotS has failed and will now see the officer D.VA skin and genji skins be introduced into normal loot boxes.

Need for Speed Payback has been revealed and been given a date for 10th November 2017. The game brings back cop chases and introduces a new storyline.
