Remembering the Lost Soldiers: 4 Games That Showed the Real Side of War

Today is poppy day. A day to remember the ones who have fought in battles since 1916. The soldiers that put their life on the lines to protect us from them trying to compromise it.

In honor of the fallen men and woman, we bring to you 5 games that showed the true horror of war.

4. Arma 3

Arma 3 was released in 2013 to critical acclaim. The game was praised for its multiplayer and features. The campaign starts off to a dark start (spoiler alert) when most of NATO forces on Stratis are killed by backstabbing AAF soldiers. This intro sets the scene for the rest of campaign and shows what happens when politicians change their mind.

3. Battlefield 1

Recently released Battlefield 1 has been entertaining both Battlefield and Call Of Duty fans across the globe. The game took players back to world war one when the trenches were the main battlefield. Violent kills and gory fields showed the true nature of the great war.

2. Spec Ops: The Line

In 2012 Yager Development created Spec Ops: The Line. The game is based on a team of US soldiers looking for others left in Dubai, which is now a no man's land. The game has some strong footage (especially towards the end) and shows how things are not always what they seem when told through the eyes of the media.

1. Fallout 4
