UnDungeon, Sims 4 getting toddlers and news!

UnDungeon, a Square Enix approved kickstarter project is a new rogue like RPG set for a release date of 2018. The project is 3/5 of the way funded and you can check it out here.

Sims 4 is finally getting toddlers 2 years after the release of the base game. Your sims now have to deal with the stress of caring for little ones and making sure they grow up properly.

And lastly we are going to reveal a project we've been working on next Saturday. We hope you enjoy it! 

Pit People is in Early Access

Every day a game is released on Steam. A minority is early access games. Pit People, a turn based co-op game made by the same developers of Castle Crashers entered early access on Steam and Xbox One yesterday.

The game boasts to have 1,300 items already implemented and it even has a campaign mode alongside a 2v2 arena mode.

Weekly Roundup #22

The first week of the new year is up! We've had some interesting gaming stories this week, here's three of them.


First up a new pricing plan for a service called Liquid Sky, a beta streaming program. users can pay to play games via streaming. This means if your computer isn't good enough to play Overwatch Liquid Sky will let you play it at 60 FPS and 1080p. There's also a free pricing plan where you can earn up to 3 hours of playtime a day by watching ads. More will be revealed in March.

Arkane, the minds behind the Dishonored franchise have discussed with Game Informer about Dishonored 2's rough launch and how Prey will be 'flawless' at launch. 



Lastly an Elite Dangerous player had first contact with a flower like alien called a Thargoid. The clip shows an alien ship defending a player from what seems to be a pirate. 

a Look at Fitbit: the Solution to a Gamers Weight?

Yesterday I picked up the Fitbit Blaze. It costed me £160. the FitBit is designed to help people lose weight via challenges and exercises.

Could this be a great motivation tool for gamers?

First off I would like to say the Fitbit app is free for anyone with a android/ios device. It can do the basics but the tracker can measure your heartbeat and record data more accurately.

Fitbit allows you to create a profile much like steam or xbox live/psn and even has achievements to unlock when you hit your daily goal or win a challenge against your friends. This is a feature that will be familiar to gamers and may be the selling point for some. 

Challenges include, but not limited to marathons, daily goals, weekend and weekday goals. 

The trackers come in different shapes and sizes. The blaze and the surge (the latest ones) resemble a smartwatch and can even be used to see demonstrations of cardio activities. Then you have the charge 2 and the Alta which have smaller screens. You then have the the flex 2 which has no screen at all but instead has 4 lights. Finally there's the one and zip and one which are basic 2007 pedometers.

So the question still remains, is it a solution to the fact gaming is an inactive exercise?

If you have the money, it's a great way to lose weight efficiently. 

MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA Gets a New Trailer

a new MASS EFFECT trailer was released yesterday showcasing some combat.

The trailer was made for CES 2017 and can be seen below. It starts with a ship called TEMPEST landing on a planet. A character called Ryder is shown and in the top left there is a leveling system.

The trailer giving a release date of March 21st.

GFMSL #7

From cars with football to steampunk airships, total domination to stripping, we've explored a range of games so far in GFMSL but now we're taking to Panau.




I'm pretty sure I hold the record for the most hours in Just Cause 2 at 185 hours but I could be wrong. Having played through the campaign 3 times and 60% completion in free roam I enjoyed Just Cause 2 from start to finish (I still play it to this day!). 

Everything from the NPC behavior to the dense jungles just make the feel like there's a cause to playing it (pun intended). The story and side missions aren't anything to awe at but the freedom to do whatever you want in a country like sandbox really hits home. You could tether a bus to a plane or go on a tank rampage in the city. Anything that uses tethers is possible.

Of course you may argue that the tethers could snap and crush your dreams but that's where the mods come in. A trainer called the bolopatch gives you options like infinite health, multiple tethers and invincible tethers. There's also plenty of other mods like the ZXZ's black market mod or the island in chaos one. All can be found here.

So what does Just Cause 2 offer? Well here's a breakdown:

Pros:

Decent graphics (impressive for 2010)
Plenty of activities (providing you have an imagination)
A good-not great story
Better optimization than Just Cause 3
Choice of over 100 veichles

Cons: 

Health system a bit too harsh
100% completion glitch (can be worked around with a mod)


So in conclusion i'm putting Just Cause 2 in the good games section. 

Weekly Roundup #21

It's the first day of the new year and some great games are upon us. Here's 3 news stories from last year.

First up the steam awards winners were announced yesterday. GTA V, Portal 2 and Goat simulator were among the few that won awards. Steam users could collect trading cards and craft emoticons and backgrounds. 

Users could earn trading cards by either voting for a game or completing a queue. If you collected all 9 you could craft a badge and receive 2 new items and a chunk of exp.





Along with the awards was the winter sales which saw almost every game on Steam have a price drop. Borderlands, Steep,
Witcher and loads of others all had great deals. You can head on over to Steam and purchase some now.
